The Office: LinkedIn

 

To design the office space for LinkedIn at Millenia Tower. Design must follow the following requirements:

1. Reception area

2. 12 pax conference room

3. Pantry/ Breakout area

4. Server room (1.5m x 2m)

5. Filing room/ Utility area (7m^2)

6. 22 workstations (L-shaped system furniture)

ABOUT

LinkedIn is a social networking website launched on 5 May, 2003.

LinkedIn allows users to build their professional network and find their dream jobs. It also provides updates for users regarding their latest business and industry news.

​

It operates via website and mobile apps, with 24 languages available. Currently, it is the world's largest professional network on the Internet with more than 500 million members from over 200 counties. It has over 10,000 full-time employees with offices in 30 cities around the world.

THE DESIGN

The design concept is to create a friendly working environment. The layout of the workstations allows employees to easily discuss issues during work. The pantry/ breakout area provides them a space to relax and engage in conversation during their break. The views of the windows are not blocked so employees can enjoy the scenery and relax after staring at the computers for long hours.
